Our Meetings

Passages meets twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and both nights have a variety of activities. View details of our location.

Wednesdays: Workshop Nights
On Wednesdays, from 5:30pm until 9:00pm, we have Dinner Nights. We have food donated in from assorted organizations around Kansas City (see below), which we serve to the youth.

• 1st Wednesdays of every month: Street Outreach Services brings Pizza Hut
• 2nd Wednesdays of every month: Grinders restaurant donates their own pizza
• 3rd Wednesdays of every month: Passages Staff
• 4th and 5th Wednesdays of every month: Passages staff prepares a meal

We eat and hang out from 5:30 until 7:00. At 7:00 workshops begin and are sponsored by various local organizations.

In addition to the workshops, we have books, board games, and a movie collection that they can watch. We also have a small computer lab with filtered Internet access, word processors, spreadsheets, multimedia capabilities, a laser printer, and wireless Internet for laptops or mobile devices.

Saturdays: Movie & Dance Nights
On Saturdays from 6:00pm until 11 PM, we have Movie & Dance Night! Youth get to pick a movie they want to see. Doors open at 6 PM, movie starts at 7 PM. After the movie, a DJ will mix the latest music. We also have food donated in from Hen House's in Leawood & Overland Park, KS, as well as a variety beverages.

Our room with books, movies, board games, and computer lab is also open if youth get tired of dancing, or just want a spot that's a bit quieter to hang out at.

NOTE: Saturdays we require a valid photo ID to get in and gladly accept donations. A driver's license, school ID, military ID, or any other identification card with a photo on it will work as long as it's current. If the youth does not have an ID, we will allow a legal guardian with a photo ID to vouch for them.
