PFLAG (Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) is the foremost help and support resource in the region for parents. They are a worldwide organization and can tap into the real world experiences of almost any type of family dynamic from within their ranks.
Our Guidelines for Operation

We are a community center, not a social agency or a social service. We can provide contact information for other organizations that can provide these services.
Support for Parents of LGBT Youth

The Kansas City chapter meets at The Village Presbyterian Church in Mission, KS. Check out their website (http://www.pflagkc.org/) for information on upcoming meetings.
Can Parents Come to Passages?
