Why Does Passages Exist?

Passages’ purpose is to equip LGBT youth in the greater Kansas City metro to become strong, out and proud members of our community. Passages fulfills this mission in two critical ways. First, we offer a safe, drug-free, and hate-free space where LGBT youth can simply be themselves without judgment. Second, Passages provides numerous educational resources not available in a traditional classroom setting in either Kansas or Missouri. We make available critical health/HIV & STI prevention, dating safety, relationship, and other information through our own resource board and with the help of partnering community organizations.
